Known for non-traditional marketing approaches that successfully generate visibility and revenue for the organizations she serves, Shelley Ballet introduced the enhanced living concept to Evangelical Services for the Aging in 2004–determined to implement a solid stream of branding initiatives to help transform the organization's network of continuing care retirement communities into enhanced living communities.

Among her many accomplishments, Ballet worked to rename the century-old organization to Wesley Enhanced Living, creating a corporate repositioning strategy and a new sales structure, that reimagined the way companies and individuals view today's senior population. Within the first year of operating under the new name, the organization's independent and assisted living unit census increased from 85 to 98 percent under Ballet's direction.

Prior to her position with Wesley Enhanced Living, Ballet served as director of marketing for Innovatix, LLC, a national group purchasing organization for pharmacists and physicians. In this role, she created and launched repositioning and sales support programs to increase client membership and pharmaceutical product sales within the home infusion, oncology and long term care segments. As director of network marketing for North Shore-LIJ Health Sysytem, a $3 billion hospital and ambulatory care system, she created branding and direct response campaigns to increase awareness and referrals into the 18-hospital system.

Ballet holds a master of business administration degree in marketing management from Baruch College and a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Hofstra University.
